Crystal Feldman Lorbacher

Crystal Feldman Lorbacher is an accomplished communications and public affairs leader with a distinguished career spanning the federal, state and local levels. Recognized for her ability to design and execute award-winning communications and public outreach campaigns, she specializes in crafting innovative strategies that deliver measurable, data-driven results. Her diverse expertise bridges the public and private sectors, making her a trusted advisor on impactful communications and advocacy efforts.

With a proven ability to navigate complex challenges, Lorbacher excels in public relations, crisis management and public policy. Her extensive experience includes work across a variety of industries, such as transportation, energy, healthcare, technology, life sciences, economic development, and higher education.

Before joining Poplar Group, Lorbacher was an executive at Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU), where she spearheaded strategic initiatives in communications, government affairs and community outreach. A former registered state lobbyist, she brings a unique blend of policy and regulatory expertise, coupled with a deep commitment to advocacy and public engagement.

Her public service career includes key leadership positions within the N.C. Governor’s Office and the N.C. Departments of Transportation, Environmental Quality and Public Safety. Additionally, she served as press secretary for the U.S. House of Representatives Natural Resources Committee and has been actively involved in national and state political campaigns.

A native of Durham, N.C., Lorbacher holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Georgetown University. She currently resides in Durham with her husband and two children.
